Block 7. EZ-Log Nr15.

Are you still with me?
Don’t give up! We are just one more block away to complete this beautiful quilt.
And this one will be easy. Only flying. …. with the geese…. again.
I bet you can do it with eyes shut, by now.

Let’s have fun!

This time, the task is very simple.
I used the EZLog Nr15 template for the new frame.

Increase the size of the Quilt with a strip of 4 cm. (Cut 5,5cm strip). I used burgundy color fabric.
This strip will increase the size of your work to 152cm x 152cm + the sewing allowance.

Draw the flying goose motifs on the Vetex.
There are 76 pieces of flying goose motifs on a strip. Place the template at the end of the drawn pattern and continue drawing. The width of the strip of flying goose is 4cm!

Draw the square patterns in the corners using the EZ-Log Nr15 template too, by mirroring the flying goose pattern. The size of the finished square is 4x4cm.

After drawing, you can start doing the sewing on paper technique. There are two video for the same size “flying goose” template here and here

Sew a strip of “flying goose” on the right and left sides of the quilt.

Sew the square blocks to the ends of the other two “Flying goose” strips.

Sew the strips with squares on the bottom and top of the Quilt.

With the new extension the size of your work will be 160cm x 160cm + the sewing allowance.

Now you are ready with the 7th block. The next will arrive in early March. There is one more block to do and the quilting. The next block will be a bit challenging. Don’t worry, if you came so far with me, then you will be able to do it. We will finish with the same block as the starting block (EZ-Log Nr47).

All templates and other items used to make the complete 2m x 2m “Sew with me for 1 year ” mystery quilt is collected at one place in our webshop www.foltvilag.com.

If you are ready with this stage, please send me a nice photo. I will place it on our Facebook page and on this blog.

You can meet me personally and buy the templates at Foltvilag’s stand at the following events.
